On the 7th of November, the Berlin subway network will become a network of science. Passers-by will experience a science rush hour. This year again, the Paul-Drude-Institut undertakes the planning and implementation of the format developed by the Greek organisation SciCo.

Objectives

Mind the Lab aims to stimulate people’s interest in science during a very short time interval, where thousands of people pass-by every day; the underground stations. The vivid atmosphere, spontaneity, open public access and hands-on experience of Mind the Lab makes it ideal for attracting a large number of people that do not necessarily have a prior interest in science, irrespective of age, educational and social background or interests.

We think that this is important because:

scientific and technological awareness provide all citizens with tools that can enable them to be part of the technological world with confidence and critical thinking.
